Venice has few lofts (no industrial buildings). This loft is only at few minutes walking from St. Mark's Square, in the green heart of Venice -the Biennale Gardens- and it is located in an original and historical foundry.

The apartment, very new, is on the ground and first floor (USA second and third floor), in a central location, very close to the pharmacy and all kind of shops. There is the main pavilion of the Biennale at only 200 metres.

Features:

In the loft, there is a living room in a sunny and large open space; a fully equipped kitchen with microwaves, professional burners, refrigerator with freezer, glass table; 2 design sofa beds (both of them French size); a bedroom with a double bed and another with 2 single beds, with wooden nets, latex mattresses and pillows. There are 2 bathrooms.

There are an original foundry iron/wooden ceiling, a big arch and a window, electrical plugs industrial style and external pipeline, LCD TV color, toaster, electrical kettle, autonomous heating and air conditioning, wi-fi.

The closest public boat stops (vaporetti) are: Arsenale and Giardini, and direct connection with Murano and Lido.

Interesting quirky apartment, plenty of space for the 5 of us, kitchen large enough to cope with 6 sitting down together. Slight issue with Mosquitos - the master bedroom had a plug in device and we didn't get any problems there but the person who slept downstairs got quite a few bites until we bought another device. Kitchen was fine big fridge but only had breakfast there. Plenty of restaurants nearby and some at very reasonable prices. Co-op supermarket very close so no problems if you want to eat in. Mainly residential area but didn't feel like we were intruding people were very welcoming. The location is fantastic- short walk to St Marks - really nice thing to do in the evening and to the biennale events. The TV in the lounge is pretty small with very few English channels - not that bothered us. Two bathrooms were useful although the one upstairs was more for show I think - the downstairs bathroom and shower was more than adequate for us. Felt very safe and secure throughout. One of my favourite areas to stay in Venice.
